The First Rains : A story I cant forget.

Its not been so long ago that in the July of 2006 the stories takes place.Even today when I remember the day I couldn't help myself crying not in remorse but in happiness.

Mansoon have come and you all must have experienced the first showers of this year and like every year i am being reminded of those days which were.

We were into an exhibition on social science all of us,the friends ,participants,the bad boys and the cool girls .We all went to take part in the Social science exhibition that month.

For me it was a great opportunity as I along with my friend Sangeet were the strong defenders to be selected at the national level quiz.We were the champions at all the low levels and have reached the final test.But luck didn't turn out on my side and I got out at the written test only.Sangeet he made it to the stage qualifiers.

That night as always we were playing in our rooms ,getting the lights , the medical kit all destroyed and were like on no mans land.But I Was very sad and disturbed as i Could not make it to the next level.All my friends they tried to make me happy and going but they could not.

It was the time I was recently engaged badly towards a girl Whom I respect today also. I was just like mad for her,I got late to school daily but the day I saw her I started making it on time to the school.She was a subject for me change many things in myself,just for her.For her I would do anything like bunking my chemistry classes and all to see her at the garden and pretending to be a good boy but having a eye on her behind the back of our teachers ..This was just the starting of the never ending affection from me towards her..

But as I got out I was like crying and all.This girl she came daily to the exhibition and used to be my only hope for some company I Flirted a lot with her,But she never seem to mind it as if she doesn't know what's happening.

That morning I woke up early as always coz everyday I would go out of the school to receive that girl,Dressing myself in the best costumes I had and bathing myself in Deodorants.Taking belts caps and all from friends ..." Yaar,do min k liye de naa..Abhi Lauta doonga."

That day was the day of the first showers,I got a Manchester united belt from rupansh and my umbrella..I got out to the bus stop to get her..Waited 10 Min's and there she came.I Gave my umbrella to her ,It was raining!!!

The day passed and all my friends they were like gone sly that day.All the time they were mocking me saying her name and provoking me to propose her and i was like..."No..Not at all."

Lunch time came and as i haven't ate for almost a day i got my plate full of everything...Rice,papad,sweets and rajma and what not.But i could not eat....Why that was the hardest part that day.

As I was about to eat My friends they started pushing me towards her and I was Like so ashamed and embarrassed,but my friends they were like kiss of death .They would die but will make you do what they want...

Hu so I stood right behind her and could not eat anymore and my friends were whispering...

"arre kab bolega?"

"Kya Kya ...Prashant Kuch kehne waala hai kya?"

"Saal a gadha hai"

"Sahi mein"

"Oh my God I love this Pair"

""Its so cinematic.Prashant be fast"

and I was blushing like hell.She too had a hint of what was going to happen but played like she doesn't know anything...This was yet another of her trait that made me love her.

So as you may guess I could not say that to her.I could not Propose her..How could I man....

By the time it started raining again and as the meals finished everyone rushed to have some water..so did she.Sonali came to me and said,"Pagle bol naa."I said"Arre wo gussa hogi toh??."

"Arre nahi!!" "Haan Ho jayegi" i said.

"Abhi wo paani pi rahi hai jaa aur bolDe.Nahi bola toh fir mujhse bat mat karna"

I couldn't help myself but said,"Okay I am going.Let me have some breaths in.. Huh...Huh.."

I went to her ,She without giving me any chance said,"Bolo Kya bolna hai?"

I was dumbstruck..."Wo...Aa..waise... Matlab..Not so important..aise hi..kuch nahi"

"Okay bye then"...I said no don't go...but i could not stop her..I Had a second thought and decided its now or never..so go for it..Go Bravo go...

So it went..I proposed her with the longest lasting blush on my face..and hers too...I it came out to be that she said nothing but just asked,"What do you want to hear from me?""

What could I say...I was dumbstruck again and was speechless.She interviewed me for about an hour and said,"Okay, come to school on Monday.We will see."

I thought no chance..she will definitely deny my proposal.I was not so happy..but I could Now feel the burden off my heart...

In the evening it was raining again she was about to go back to her home...I was as usual with her to drop her out..She on the way said "Yes.."

I was like dumb ,and deaf again.....The first showers were like a bliss for me.

Every year I remember that day..And feel myself so lucky to be with her...
